Our Pull Type Seed Harvesters (PTSH) come in 4 & 6 ft (1.2 & 1.8 m) wide models. Developed for use in rugged terrain and ecologically sensitive areas, our PTSH lets you harvest the seeds you need with high efficiency and low environmental impact. Powered by a fuel efficient, low maintenance, reliable, Briggs & Stratton Intek, 6.5 hp (205 cc), OHV gasoline engine, the PTSH can harvest numerous species of seed efficiently under a wide variety of field conditions. A dual-stage, reversible brush effectively combs the seed off plants, while brush rotation sets up an airflow that pulls the seed into the hopper. Or try our new optional concave harvester bar that is designed for more aggressive harvesting of tough-headed wildflowers and other hard-to-harvest species.

The PTSH is offset to the side so you do not trample the crop, but converts to pull directly behind your vehicle for transport.  Easy to use sliding hitch converts from offset harvesting to centered transport mode in a few seconds, with no tools needed. Integrated hydraulics allows you to couple with your tractor's hydraulic system for infinitely variable height control. Or use the manual hydraulic pump to raise and lower the PTSH just as easily.

Pull Type Seed Harvesters from Prairie Habitats Inc:

• Rugged design allows harvesting in areas such as roadsides, rocky pastures, coastal dunes, alpine meadows, ditches and fence rows. Designed for harvesting natural areas as well as field & nursery seed production plots of native grasses, wildflowers, wetland, forage, herbal, medicinal and spice plants. Optional concave harvester bar for tougher species.
  
  
• Ideal for ecologically sensitive areas where regular farm machinery is not permitted. Low ground pressure is about the same as an average-sized adult on foot, or about 10 lbs/sq in (0.7 kg/sq cm) for the 4 ft PTSH. This prevents damage to ecologically sensitive areas. Also available with optional wide track tires for even lower ground pressure about half that of standard tires!
  
  
• 4 or 6 ft (1.2 or 1.8 m) wide reversible nylon bristle brush, sweeps clean seed gently into hopper, leaving the stalks intact. Or you can set the brush to harvest flowers, leaves or petals of medicinal, herbal and spice crops. Optional concave harvester bar for more aggressive collection of tough to harvest wildflowers and other species.
  
  
• Harvests seeds from just above ground level to 6 ft (1.8 m) high for our 6 ft wide model. Or harvest up to 7 ft 8 in (2.3 m) high with our 4 ft wide high-lift PTSH. Hydraulic lift allows smooth height adjusting.
  
  
• Easy to pull! PTSH's can be pulled by an all terrain vehicle, small tractor, or draft animal.
  
  
• Seed bagged in the field with manual rear bag holder using standard grain bags. Or unloaded in bulk with convenient bottom dump door.
  
  
• Gasoline powered - uses about 0.1 gal (0.5 litre) per hour. One person operation - minimal training required. Can be transported from site to site behind a pickup truck at low speeds, or on a trailer at highway speeds.
  
  
• Can be used to harvest the same area several times in a season, taking only the ripe seed with each pass.
