Prairie Habitats Inc. offers a variety of workshops and ecotours. These activities can be delivered on-site to your staff or community, or available at Living Prairie Museum in Winnipeg every spring:

Wildflower Gardening & Native Landscaping Workshops

Wildflower Gardening & Native Landscaping Workshops Learn how to garden & landscape with native Manitoba wildflowers & grasses. Topics covered include an introduction to using native plants in the home, cottage & acreage landscapes, their propagation, native landscape design, planting, maintenance & identification. Part of the 3 hour workshop will include seeds for you to take home to start your own native prairie garden. No previous gardening or native plant experience is necessary. Workshops are taught by Prairie Habitats Inc. staff & held at Winnipeg's beautiful Living Prairie Museum, 2795 Ness Avenue, every spring.

Ecotours of Southern Manitoba

Prairie Habitats Inc. is well versed in the natural history of southern Manitoba’s beautiful native tall and mixed grass prairies.  If your group would like a custom-designed natural history or photography tour to some interesting places, please contact us to discuss details and costs.
