The Forks 1) - Two large lens-shaped planters of tall grass prairie wildflowers & grasses were seeded & planted in the fall of 1989 & spring of 1990 at downtown Winnipeg's "The Forks" development. The idea was to bring back a sample of the historic landscape that once occurred there to show people what the area looked like before settlement.
