Developed for use in rugged terrain and ecologically
sensitive areas, Prairie Habitats Inc.'s PTSS lets you harvest the seeds
you need, with little environmental impact. Powered by a fuel efficient,
low maintenance, reliable, Briggs & Stratton Intek 6.5 hp OHV gasoline
engine, the PTSS can harvest numerous species of seed or leaves efficiently
under a wide variety of field conditions. The standard dual-stage brush
effectively combs the seed off plants, while the rotation sets up an
airflow that pulls the seed into the hopper. Or try our new optional
ripper head that is designed for more aggressive harvesting of tough-headed
wilflowers such as Echinacea. Easy to use sliding hitch converts from
transport to harvesting mode in a few seconds with no tools needed.
Integrated hydraulics allow you to couple with your tractor's hydraulic
system for infinitely variable height control. Or use our manual hydraulic
pump to raise and lower the PTSS just as easily.
Our seed strippers pay for themselves! Compare
the cost of a Prairie Habitats Inc. PTSS with buying native seeds commercially.
Get the volumes of seed and the species diversity you need for ecological
restoration projects.
Harvest seeds quickly and efficiently from nurseries
or other small plots, too. Still picking wildflower, herbal or medicinal
plant seeds by hand? Increase you efficiency with a PTSS.
